Abstract |
The aim of this project was the development of functional three-dimensional knitted textile structures with a user-defined construction and antimicrobial finishing which are predestined for use in shoes. For the research work the technological potential of the raschel technique will be used. 3D knitted spacer fabrics in combination with other padding materials have many positive features which make them an interesting material for the direct contact with the foot. Hence, it is planned to develop three dimensionally knit spacer fabrics and study their suitability as a shoe-inlay for orthopedic patients. |
