As part of generally increased concern with management of financial topics, SITRA conducts inter-firm comparison studies on financial performance at regular intervals. The main emphasis in these studies is on a comprehensive analysis of the financial and non-financial factors which contribute to inter-mill differences in profits.

Using the vast amount of data accumulated during these studies, norms have been set up for the various cost components in spinning mills. The symptoms which forewarn sickness in a mill have been quantified.
